Chris Wright Systems client wins national website award!
Sir John Lawes school in Hertfordshire has won the Times Educational Supplement (TES) 'Outstanding School Website of the Year' award.
The TES awards took place at the Park Lane Hilton on Friday 8th July and were hosted by comedian, playwright and impressionist Rory Bremner.
These national awards cover a wide range of different categories and our client was one of only six schools in the country to be shortlisted in this years ‘Outstanding School Website’ category.
In summary of their verdict the awards judge’s said:
“This is an impressive website that not only demonstrates great usability and beautiful design, but also offers real educational benefit by acting as a platform for students to produce high-quality outputs.”
Rory Bremner announced SJL as the winners and presented the award to Headteacher Claire Robins.
Speaking of the award win, Headteacher, Claire Robins said:
“We are thrilled to receive national recognition for our website. We believe it is an important part of the way we communicate the values and vision of Sir John Lawes to the wider community and we are particularly pleased with features such as the year 6 forum which allows new students to have questions answered about the school even before they join us.”

To have produced a website that has been voted as the best in the country is a fantastic feeling and it is great news for SJL. The thing that I really like about their website is that it expresses the real creativity, energy and passion of the school community and we very much enjoyed working with them to produce the site.”
